A Local’s 5-Day Andaman Honeymoon Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Port Blair, Escape to Havelock

Your flight will land in Port Blair. Instead of sticking around the main city, we suggest you head straight for the real island magic. Grab the first available afternoon ferry to Havelock Island (now Swaraj Dweep). The two-hour ride across the sea is the perfect way to transition into holiday mode.

Once you arrive, check into your hotel—maybe a quiet beachfront resort or a cottage tucked in the jungle. Don't try to do too much today. Walk down to the nearest beach, feel the sand between your toes, and just breathe. Find a little restaurant for dinner and enjoy your first seafood meal together as a married couple. Today is all about recovering from the journey and the wedding madness.

Day 2: The Wonders of Havelock (Swaraj Dweep)

Today is for exploring the most famous island in the Andamans. In the morning, how about a little adventure? You could book a "try dive" with a PADI-certified dive school to see the incredible coral reefs together. It’s a beginner-friendly scuba experience that doesn’t require any certification, and it makes for an amazing story. If diving isn't your thing, consider a guided kayaking trip through the mangroves. It’s quiet, beautiful, and you’ll feel like you’re in another world.

Day 4: Return to Port Blair & A Touch of History

Enjoy a final, lazy breakfast on Neil Island before catching a morning or afternoon ferry back to Port Blair. Once you’re back in the capital, you have some options. If you’re interested in the history of the islands, a visit to the Cellular Jail is a must. The light and sound show in the evening is a moving experience that tells the story of India’s freedom fighters.

If you'd rather do something more light-hearted, you can explore Aberdeen Bazaar for some souvenir shopping. Look for shell crafts, pearl jewellery, and bamboo decor made by local artisans. For your last evening, find a nice rooftop or sea-facing restaurant in Port Blair for a special farewell dinner.

Day 5: Farewell to the Islands

Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time for one last walk or some last-minute shopping. Enjoy a final island breakfast before heading to Veer Savarkar International Airport for your flight home, full of memories.
