Getting the group across
Havelock is roughly 70 km from Port Blair, about 90 minutes on the private catamarans and longer on government ferries. Sailings are daylight-only and seats are released in blocks, so a 60-person group must be booked as a block well ahead of the date — not split across whatever is left.

Costs are structurally higher than Port Blair
Everything on Havelock — fuel, produce, staff — arrives by boat, so room and F&B rates sit above the mainland-island equivalent. That is not a markup you can negotiate away; the honest answer is to decide whether the beach is worth roughly 20–30% on the land package. For most retreats it is.

Several beachfront resorts have conference rooms seating roughly 40 to 80 theatre style, with projector and sound. Groups above about 80 usually run the formal business session in Port Blair, where hotel banquet capacity is larger, and keep Havelock for the experiential part of the retreat.
How many nights should a Havelock retreat be?
Two nights on Havelock inside a four-night trip is the sweet spot. One night means you spend most of the stay on ferries; three or more nights is worthwhile only if the agenda includes real leisure time or diving.
What happens if the ferry is cancelled?
Cancellations are weather-driven and mostly seasonal. We hold a Port Blair contingency — a conference room and rooms on standby — and rebook the group onto the next available sailing. Our on-ground coordinator handles it, so your HR team is not calling ferry operators.
Is Havelock suitable for a leadership offsite?
Very. Small leadership groups get the best of the island: private facilitation at Kalapathar, a resort partial buy-out, and dive or sunset-cruise experiences that do not work at scale. That is the Signature tier in our proposals.
